Sugar Plum Wreath

Supplies:

  • 24" grapevine wreath
  • Loose 4 loop bow- 3-5 yds. of ribbon
    (Depending on streamer length)
  • 1 med.- 1 lg. Pinecone
  • 2- needle & cones pine branch
  • 1 lg. white poinsettia
  • 1 freesia stem
  • 3 iced branches
  • 1 lg. plum
    (Look at instructions below to find out how to "sugar" a plum)
  • 1 med. plum
  • 1 small plum pick
  • 1 sliced dried quince
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Greenery stems-( I used a glitter trimmed
    grapeleaf with a purple underleaf.)
  • Wire cutters
  • Floral wire
  • Set of 20 battery operated lights & batteries
Instructions:
 1. Wrap wire on the base of the large and medium Pine cones. Now wire to the top of the wreath so that they dangle in the center.
 2. Wire bow above where the pine cones are attached to the wreath.
 3. Place greenery underneath the bow. Make sure some is dangling down the center also.
 4. Add battery operated lights. Wire the battery pack to the wreath itself, for added support.
 5. Glue poinsetta below bow so that it dangles with the pinecones.
 6. Now place in the iced branches placing them through out the greenery.
 7. Glue in grapeleaves.
 8. Glue in the plums.
 9. Glue in quince slice.
How To "Sugar A Plum"
Supplies:
  • Artificial plums
  • clear drying white glue
  • "holeless" clear glass beads or seed beads
  • glitter
Instructions:  
 1. Apply glue to top of plum or where the frost might have got it.
 2. Sprinkle very lightly with glitter.
 3. Now cover remaining glue with clear beads. Let dry.
