June Wedding Flower Girl Basket
Monday, April 10, 2000

Supplies:
  1. small white or unfinished basket
  2. printed napkin
  3. white craft glue
  4. soft bristle brush
  5. water
  6. container for water/glue mixture
  7. tulle
  8. ribbon : #9 satin for the handle & 1/4 inch picot white & accent color
(Check out “Spool o’Ribbon“ by Offray usually under .50 for 6-10 yds; good deal)
  9. hydrangea and forget-me-not blooms
  10. hot glue gun & glue
Instructions:
1. Separate the napkins, so that you have the single printed ply.

2. Mix the glue with water until it is just slightly thicker than water; 10-1 ratio.

3. Brush the glue mixture on the basket. Lay the napkin on top of the area you just brushed with glue. Gently brush the napkin down into the crevices of the basket. Be careful not to tear the napkin. To patch a place, simply tear a piece of napkin a little larger than the tear, and set over the tear and brush with glue mix.

4. Let dry completely.

5. You can now seal/varnish if you like.

6. Wrap handle with ribbon securing at start and finish with glue.

7. Make 3 tulle and ribbon bows.

8. Glue bows to each side of the handle and to the bottom of the basket.

9. Glue flower blooms into the bows.

10. Fill with flower petals.

11. As always have fun! DAZ
