Morning Show Project by DAZ
June Wedding Bride's Maid Bouquet
Monday, May 8, 2000

Supplies:
  1. One large flower, I used a hydrangea (you might change the color of the "focal" flower in the bouquet for the Maid of Honor)
  2. Three to five other flowers ranging in size from medium to small. I used Forget-me-nots, Bachelor Buttons, Snowballs, & Roses.
  3. Greenery, I used one long piece and one short piece of ivy and three fern frond.
  4. Five yards #9 sheer ribbon in your color, I used light orchid
  5. One and one-half yards #9 satin ribbon white
  6. Eight yards five inch nylon tulle
  7. Four yards 3/16 picot ribbon in an accent color
  8. floral tape
  9. wirecutters
  10. scissors
  11. glue gun and glue or pearl-headed boutonniere pins
Instructions:

1. Cut your floral stems to eight inches, trim off any leaves that are further than a couple of inches from the flowerhead.

2. Gather your flowers into a bundle and tape the stems using the twirling motion from previous projects.

3. Add in the greenery next and tape. I put the long ivy at the bottom of the bouquet, a short piece at the top and spread my fern out in three different places. Work with the placement until you feel that it looks balanced.
4. Make an eight inch bow out of tulle only and one eight inch bow using your accent ribbons and tulle. Make sure that you include the long streamers. I also tied "Love Knots" about an one and one-half inches from the bottom of the picot ribbon streamers. Cut the bow wires to eight inches.

5. Now lay the wires onto your bouquet stem and tape the bows in by wrapping the length of the stem.

6.Start at the bottom of the bouquet stem and wrap the stem with the white satin #9 ribbon. (Fold the ribbon in at the bottom and make sure to keep the ribbon tight as you wrap. You can either glue the ribbon at the top or fold the edge over and use pearl-headed boutonniere pins to pin the edge. Be careful to make sure that none of the pinpoints are exposed.)

Have fun and remember our final project is next, "The Bride’s Bouquet!"

Until next time, DAZ
