1. Pull rosebud from floral stem, cut off a forget-me-not bloom and a single roseleaf. |

2. Using a candle, heat the end of the floral wire and then push it through the base of the rosebud,being careful to push the hot end through quickly so as not to completely melt through the base. 3. Let the wire cool for a couple of seconds and then fold it down so that the rosebud will have the doubled wire as a stem now. |

4. Next wrap the stems of the forget-me-not and the leaf with floral tape. |

5. Starting at the base of the rose start wrapping the rosebud with the floral tape and wrap in the leaf and the forget-me-not bloom as you come to them. |

6. You may want to
wrap it twice. I like to finish by curling the stem at the end. You may add a small bow if you like but it is not neccessary. Be sure and put a pearl-topped boutonniere pin in the stemI usually place the finished product in a small plastic bag and secure the bag with another pin to make sure that there are plenty of pins handy. Another good idea is to label each bag with a sticker stating who will wear the boutonnniere. |
